George Marks - Emergency Addition
A new goalkeeper enters the fray.
The Philadelphia Union have added a new goalkeeper for the rest of the season: George Marks, waived by Charlotte FC on August 19.
Marks, 25, was selected 57th overall in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft and signed with Charlotte on February 22, 2022.
He made his MLS debut that June against CF Montréal and across three seasons totaled eight MLS appearances, 31 saves, and two clean sheets.
For context: Blake is injured, Oliver Semmle is on loan at NCFC in USL, and Pierce Holdbrook suffered a non-contact injury this past Saturday (unclear if the club will disclose details publicly).
