Sources: The Philadelphia Union have made another addition to their Technical Staff as Chris Zitterbart has been named Director of Scouting.
From the Rockies to the Keystone State
Per sources: Zitterbart joins the Union after serving as the Director of Scouting for the Colorado Rapids for the past three years (with the last year as Chief Scout).
Rising through the ranks in Colorado, he originally started as an equipment coordinator intern in 2013, where he found additional ways to contribute to the first team, ultimately earning opportunities in scouting and player recruitment.
As a dual citizen between the U.S. and Germany, he is fluent in both languages and brings a great deal of experience scouting across Europe. Over the more recent years, Zitterbart has also built a good network within South America, most notably in Brazil, and has led the domestic scouting efforts for the SuperDraft.
Welcome to Philadelphia, CZ and his family!
Wilkommen.
